Builders, developers and other real estate professionals were honored at the 50th annual Houston’s Best Prism Awards from the Greater Houston Builders Association.
Newmark Homes won the Grand Award for Production Builder of the Year, ahead of finalists J. Patrick Homes and Ravenna Homes. The builder also earned the Grand Award for Promotion. Newmark was the first builder to win two Grand Awards in one year and the first to win that highest honor four years in a row.
Among more specific production builder categories, Newmark Homes also took home awards for Home Design $800,000+, Custom Specialty Room for its “dirty kitchen” and Semi-Custom Home Design for its Frederick Harris Series.
Meanwhile, Fifty Seventh & 7th Luxury Homes was named Custom Builder of the Year, with Royal Texan Homes and Crafted Custom Homes earning finalist designations. Among more specific custom home construction categories, Fifty Seventh & 7th also took home the award for Custom Home Design in the Under $750,000 category, plus awards for Custom Home Kitchen, Custom Home Specialty Room, Custom Home Outdoor Living Space and Custom Home Bath.
Johnson Development was named Developer of the Year, with Caldwell Communities and AIRIA Development Company named finalists in the category. Johnson Development was also recognized for Master-Planned Amenity of the Year for The Lake House at Grand Central Park.
Houston Realtor Raj Seth of The Seth Brothers Team was also named Houston’s Best Realtor, and The Seth Brothers Team was named Houston’s Best Realtor Team.
Res Com Custom Builders was named Remodeler of the Year ahead of finalists Brendan Custom Homes and Kelley Construction.
Other highly decorated builders for the evening included Royal Texan Homes, which won Custom Home Design Over $2 Million and Custom Home Design $750,000 to $1 Million. The builder also won multiple awards for its custom home kitchens and a custom home gym.
Buster & Codgell Builders won Custom Home Design Over $2 Million and Custom Home Kitchen, $1 Million to $1.5 Million; Sneller Custom Homes & Remodeling won Custom Home Design, $1 Million to $1.5 Million; Kurk Homes won Custom Home Specialty Room, Home $1 Million to $1.5 Million; and Blakecraft Custom Homes won Custom Home Bath, Home $1 Million to $1.5 Million.
Among production builders, Legend Homes by Camillo won Home Design $300,000 to $350,000, Home Design $200,000 to $300,000 and Interior Merchandising of a Model Home Under $350,000; Toll Brothers won Home Design $500,000 to $600,000, Kitchen of the Year, and Outdoor Living Space of the Year; Drees Custom Homes won Home Design $600,000 to $800,000; Brookfield Residential won Home Design $400,000 to $500,000; Empire Homes won Home Design $350,000 to $400,000 and Bath of the Year; Cityside Homes won Family Room of the Year; J. Patrick Homes won Primary Bedroom of the Year and Interior Merchandising of a Model Home $800,000+; Caldwell Homes won 55+ Home Design; Sitterle Homes won Garden Home/Patio Home of the Year; Highland Homes won Interior Merchandising of a Model Home $600,000 to $800,000 and Interior Merchandising of a Model Home $500,000 to $600,000; and David Weekley Homes won Interior Merchandising of a Model Home $400,000 to $500,000.
For developers, Caldwell Communities won Master-Planned Community of the Year, MPC Landscape Design, MPC Community Entrance and Sales Center of the Year, all for Chambers Creek. Brookfield Residential won Model Home Park Design for Elyson.
