Writer-Loved Affordable Home Decor Finds at Amazon, From $8

2026 marks my fifth anniversary of living in New York City, and to celebrate, I’m treating myself to a much-needed home refresh, without overspending. To help me stay on budget and achieve my dream aesthetic, I headed over to Amazon for quick, easy, and elevated decor pieces—all under $50. 

I discovered cozy Amazon finds to transform my space into a warmer and more inviting atmosphere. I’m snagging popular candle warmer lamps, knit throw blankets, and portable space heaters, which start at just $8. Plus, many of these picks can be used well into spring and beyond, so they’ll definitely get their use. 

Cozy Home Decor Pieces Under $50

Let’s just say that my throw pillows have seen better days, so I’m upgrading to these Miulee luxe velvet ones. The pack of two comes in seven sizes (including the standard 18 by 18 inch) and more than 20 colors. I’m grabbing the brown for a warmer neutral color scheme, but I might also snag a more vibrant blue for the summertime. 

I light a candle daily in my living room, but with the smoke and soot it leaves behind, my air purifier has to work overtime to clear it all out. So, I’m grabbing this flower candle warmer to enjoy my favorite scents, without any of the negative side effects. I love that it doubles as a dimmable lamp, and it has timed settings that turn off after two, four, or eight hours. 

My blanket collection could use a little upgrade, so I’m adding this waffle knit throw blanket to the mix since it looks cute and cozy. Its chenille fabric is warm, yet lightweight, according to one shopper, both of which are essential factors to me as a naturally hot sleeper. Not to mention, it’s reversible, non-shedding, and machine washable for easy cleaning. 

My bathroom has minimal counter space, so I really have to make the most of it. This small wooden pedestal is an easy way to enhance the room I have and give it a more high-end look. I plan on using the stand to hold my hand soap and reed diffuser, and it’s waterproof, so I don’t have to worry about it staining (or smelling) from getting wet.
